Hyderabad: JLL India, a real estate consultant said it has facilitated the collaboration between Curated Living Solutions Pvt Ltd (CLSPL) and Shree Banbai Nenshi Trust (BNMV) for a student housing lease deal. The purpose-built girls hostel, Ivy League House, in Mumbai has a total of 325 beds in a built-up area of one lakh sft.
The market for student housing is poised to grow. Currently there is a deficit of over 70 lakh beds. With student enrolments slated to rise to over 70 million in higher education and migrant students’ share to be over 40 per cent, the need for formal student housing options beyond installed hostel capacity in institutions will require substantial investments, an official press release from JLL said.
Ramesh Chheda, Managing Trustee of BNMV Trust said, “We understand the challenges that girl students face when it comes to finding affordable, safe, and comfortable accommodation near their colleges or universities. Our hostel will offer a safe environment. We thank JLL in helping us partnering up with Curated Solutions Pvt Ltd.”
